Chowan University Hosts Virginia Colleges and Universities in Phi Alpha Theta Regional Conference
MURFREESBORO, NC – Chowan University hosted the regional Phi Alpha Theta (History Honor Society) conference to allow members of Virginia Schools to present their research on March 25, 2017.
Schools in attendance included Liberty University, Southern Virginia University, Virginia Wesleyan College, Bridgewater College, James Madison University, Christopher Newport University and Chowan University. The largest group to attend, Liberty University, brought with them 16 members. James Madison University traveled 221 miles to attend the regional event. Other universities traveled some distance as well. Bridgewater College traveled 218 miles, Southern Virginia University 203 miles, and Liberty University 167 miles.
Awards were presented in three categories: World, Europe, and United States of America.
