Chowan Women’s Lacrosse Rolls By Montreat College
Box Score MONTREAT, NC – The Chowan University women's lacrosse team rolled to a 20-3 road win over Montreat College on Tuesday afternoon. Tuesday's win marked the squads third win of the season and improved their overall record to 3-5. The Hawks out shot the Cavaliers 39-6 in route to the 20-3 win.
Chowan posted 15 first half goals while holding the Cavalilers to three first half scores. The collected 30 ground balls in the win and were 2-2 in clear attempts.
Chowan was led offensively by Heather Orell who found the back of the net six times. She also handed out three asissts and picked up four ground balls. Jennifer Caird posted five goals and Alexandria Hammonds scored 5 goals, dished out two assists, and won 11 draws.
Victoria Baez-Quiroz, Tashana Barnett, Jasmine Latney, and Misten White each added a score in the win. Shaena Ravenell faced nine
shots, giving up three goals, and getting two saves. Tahvae Burton picked up a team-high six ground balls.
The Hawks will get back to Conference Carolinas play on Saturday, March 25thwhen they play host to Belmont-Abbey College. First draw is slated for 3:00pm at Hawks Field.
