Rain or shine, Chowan Homecoming is happening! The Homecoming Football Game has been rescheduled for Thursday at6:00 pm and a few events have been canceled but most of the festivities will continue as planned despite inclement weather.

Thursday October. 6th

CANCELED: Pep Rally and Bonfire
The Pep Rally and Bonfire has been canceled due to the Football Game being rescheduled to Thursday, Oct 6th at 6pm. 
The Homecoming Court will be announced Thursday morning at 9am.

RESCHEDULED: Tailgating
Time: 5:00 pm
Location: around Garrison Stadium
Tailgating will be available for the rescheduled Homecoming game. Please let Meredith Long know by Thursday, October 6th at 10:00am to reserve a space. 

RESCHEDULED: Homecoming Football Game
Location: Garrison Stadium
Time: 6:00 pm
The Chowan University football game, originally scheduled for October 8th at 3pm, has been rescheduled for Thursday, October 6th.  Kick-off is slated for 6pm.  The Hawks will square off against Bowie State University.

Homecoming Golf Tournament
Location: Valley Pine Country Club, Lasker, NC
Time: Shotgun start at 12:00 noon

Alumni & Friends Reception
Location: Wayland L. Jenkins, Jr. Fine Arts Center
Alumni & Friends Dinner
Location: Chowan Room, Thomas Dining Hall
Time: 6:30 pm

Homecoming Step Show 
Location: Turner Auditorium, Columns Building
Time: 8:00 pm

Homecoming Dance
Location: Jenkins Center
Time: 10:00 pm

Saturday, October 8th

CANCELED: Blue and White Alumni/Brave Hawks Celebration 
The Blue and White Alumni/Brave Hawks Celebration has been canceled due to the Football Game being rescheduled. 

The University will continue to closely monitoring Hurricane Matthew in partnership with local and state agencies. We encourage the Chowan University community to please continue to monitor email and the Chowan University website for further weather-related scheduling updates.
