The following awards presented by Student Affairs are to recognize Excellence in Leadership at Chowan University.

The Advisor Award is presented to the club advisor who exemplifies extraordinary leadership and dedication to the students of the organization. This year’s recipient is Pamela Woodard for the Criminal Justice Club.

The Excellence in Leadership – Emerging Leader Award is presented to a student who shows outstanding leadership potential through service and dedication but may not hold an officer position in the club or organization. This year’s recipient is Sean Timmons of Campus Ministry.

The Excellence in Leadership – Officer Award is presented to the club officer who best demonstrates leadership abilities and commitment to the organization. This year’s recipient is Ashley Tackett of the Criminal Justice Club.

The Excellence in Leadership – President Award is presented to the president of an organization that best characterizes excellence in leadership, shows commitment to the organization, and possesses the dedication to serve. This year’s recipient is Alaya Burnham of Poetry, Inc.

The Mission and Vision Club is awarded annually to a campus club or organization that best exemplifies the mission of Chowan and is working in partnership with the University to bring us to our vision. The University congratulates the members of this organization for receiving this high honor and thanks you for all you have done to encourage excellence within your organization. The cup is awarded to the Criminal Justice Club.
