Chowan Ethics Bowl Team Competes
The Chowan University Ethics Bowl team competed in the 2016 NCICU Ethics Bowl on February 5-6 at Meredith College in Raleigh. The team finished 3-1, defeating Wake Forest, Mars Hill, and Salem. The victory over Wake Forest prevented Wake Forest from advancing in the tournament. This is the first time that Wake Forest did not play in the finals. The students competing were: Crystal Sarnor, Kayleigh Crouse, Melissa Hernandez, Kiala Smith, Kyle Davison, Austin Munden. Qeashaunda Johnson attended as an alternate. Keith Reich and J Brabban serve as advisors to the team. The 2016 NCICU Ethics Bowl featured 132 students from twenty-two universities, along with their advisors, and more than fifty judges and moderators from government, corporate, foundation, and private sectors. The two-day event included a reception and dinner on the evening of February 5 at the North Carolina Museum of History. The theme of the 2016 Ethics Bowl was Ethics in Technology.
