Having served in the Development Office at Chowan University since 2010, Kay Thomas has proven her dedication and enthusiasm for the university, which has paid off in a new promotion and responsibilities.

“It is with great pleasure I announce the promotion of Kay Thomas to the position of Senior Development Director,” announced Vice President for Development John Tayloe. “Kay has proven her commitment to Chowan and approaches the position using sound judgment. She naturally fosters teamwork and will be able to assist as needed in managing office operations.”

In her new role, Kay will direct day to day operations of the Development Office in Tayloe’s absence, as well as retaining her Director of Alumni Relations title.

Kay is married to Hal Thomas and has two daughters Jennifer, a Chowan alum from 2011, and Christina. They are members of Murfreesboro Baptist Church.
