Theatre@Chowan to present children’s play, The Wind of a Thousand Tales

Theatre@Chowan will present three performances of John Glore’s play, The Wind of a Thousand Tales, on April 13, 14, and 15, 2018.

The Wind of a Thousand Tales conveys the story of a young girl named Kimberly-Kay. Kimberly-Kay doesn’t believe in make-believe. In fact, she prefers encyclopedias to fairy tales. But one night, Kim-Kay is swept from her bed by the Breezes and carried away to the magical land of “Nowhere.” It is there that the Breezes enact three folktales—one from Mexico, one from Japan, and one from middle Europe. When Kim-Kay is finally plopped back into her bed, she has a newly-found respect for stories, different cultures, and the power of make-believe.
