47th Annual Student Art Exhibition
MURFREESBORO, NC – Chowan University School of Fine and Applied Arts is hosting the 47th Annual Student Art Exhibition. The event will begin Thursday, January 26th and end February 16, 2017; located in Green Hall on the Chowan University campus. The annual art exhibition features all original artwork of Chowan students. Typically, 35 students participate in the event, showcasing the work of students representing all academic years. Types of artwork and projects included in the exhibition feature graphic design, painting, printmaking, sculpture, pottery, package design, screen printing, drawing, and digital media. With such a large variety, there is surely something to appeal to everyone’s eye.
A reception will be held Thursday, January 26, 2017 (the opening day of the exhibition). The reception is free and open to the public and will take place in Green Hall between 5:00pm and 7:00pm. This time will provide for viewing of the artwork and awards will be presented to student participants. Light refreshments will be provided to those who attend.
