TIME TO GET READY!

We’re excited to help you get everything in place for a successful start this fall. Passport to Fall is your guide to completing all the important steps needed before arriving on campus.


Pick up your Passport to Fall from your advisor or at locations around campus. Complete each required step, get your passport stamped by the appropriate departments, and return it to the Hawks Nest once finished.


Students who submit their completed passport by March 25 will be eligible for prizes. Prizes will be awarded to students who complete all required checkpoints and turn in their passport by the deadline.

  • 1 Grand Prize: $500 Visa Gift Card
  • 3 Winners: $100 Visa Gift Cards
  • Special Bonus: The first 20 returning students to complete their Passport to Fall will receive a free Starbucks drink

Passport to Fall Checklist

Meet with your academic advisor. Review your degree plan, select your courses, and make sure you’re on track for graduation.

What to Do:

  • Schedule an appointment with your advisor

  • Review your degree requirements

  • Finalize and confirm your fall course schedule

✔ Get your passport stamped by your advisor once your schedule is complete.

 

Find Your Advisor

Log in to MyCU using your Chowan ID and password.

Navigate to the Student Tab > Advisor Information

Click on “Click Here for Advisor Information” to view advisor details.

If you haven’t filled out your 2026–27 FAFSA yet, now’s the time! Completing your FAFSA puts you in the running for federal, state, and Chowan financial aid.

Filing early gives you a better chance at receiving the most aid possible, since some funds are limited.

What to Do:

  • Complete the FAFSA at studentaid.gov

✔ Receive your passport stamp from the Financial Aid office after your FAFSA has been submitted.

Let us know your housing plans for the fall semester. Whether you plan to live on campus or commute, you must complete the appropriate application.

What to Do:

  • Submit your housing application if living on campus

  • Complete commuter paperwork if you plan to live off campus

✔ Get stamped by Residence Life once your housing status is confirmed.

Prepare for fall enrollment by paying your deposit and reviewing your account balance.

What to Do:

  • Check your student account balance

  • Contact the Business Office with any questions

✔ Passport stamp provided by the Business Office once your deposit has been paid

Make sure the University has your most up-to-date contact information and emergency contacts. You’ll also review and complete your FERPA authorization form.

✔ Receive your final passport stamp from the Hawks Nest when you submit your Passport

 

 

Submit your completed Passport to Fall in the Hawks Nest by March 25, 2026, in order to be eligible for prizes.
