Hawks Men's Soccer Picked To Finish Second

The Chowan Men's Soccer team was selected to finish second in the 2019 Conference Carolinas Preseason Poll selected by the conference coaches.

The Hawks finished with an 11-4-2 overall record and a trip to the Conference Carolinas Championship match before falling to defending champions, Limestone, in a golden goal in the 108' to a 1-0 defeat.

The Blue and White received two first-place votes in the polls while Limestone received the remaining nine.  Chowan sits with 90 points along with Limestone at 99 points.  Belmont Abbey (78), Lees-McRae (63) and King (61) round out the top-five.

Chowan returns a host of all-conference performers last season including Conference Carolinas Defensive Player of the Year, Toby Sims, and Freshman of the Year, Harry Ardron.  Mitchell Levi Lewis was named all-conference and led the league in total assists.  Sims and Trevin Myers return as First Team recipients.

The Hawks will start their season on the road in Florida to take on Rollins and Florida Tech.  The remaining Conference Carolinas Preseason Poll can be found here.
