QUOTES FROM TERELL WILLIAMSON

"I saw Lee find Barkan in the corner. I trust Lee to either pass or shot and luckily he passed, and I had to finish for the boys."

"After the first game we were hanging our heads a little bit, but we stuck together and fought through this game.  The boys played excellent and I couldn't have done it without them."

"With the way we played today, we can beat anyone in the nation.  When the conditions were bad, we stuck together and worked hard and showed that we could play with the best."

HOW IT HAPPENED

1st Half

Chowan seemed to maintain possession for most of the first half grabbing a corner kick in the first three minutes of play.

Wingate registered the first shot of the contest in the 10' but was denied by Elliot Chadderton Mitchell Levi Lewistallied the first shot for the Hawks in the 16' but was unable to find the back of the net.

Chadderton registered two more easy saves in the half before the contest was under a lightening delay with 4:49remaining in the half.

Coming back out onto the rain soaked pitch, Jamie McNicholas ripped a shot in the 41' but was blocked and the score remained at 0-0 heading into the shorten halftime break.

2nd Half

Chowan came out aggressive with a shot on target by Paul Migliarina in the 47'.  Wingate would answer with a dangerous shot in the 48' but was again denied by Elliot Chadderton.

Wingate nearly took the 1-0 lead in the 52' minute as the Bulldogs found the back of the net from just inside the box, but a sliding attempt caught the keeper for a foul and the goal was disallowed.

In the 56', the Bulldogs continued their momentum as a chip shot from outside the box sailed over the keeper's head and found the far post and bounced back into play.

The Hawks settled things in the later stages of the contest as Chowan maintained possession.  Lee Wattam flicked a header just over the crossbar in the 83'.

Chowan would win the ensuing goal kick and force play back into the middle of the pitch.  Lee Wattam made a run down the far side of the field and found Barkan Koeprueluegil at the top of the 18-yd box.  Koeprueluegil slid the deflected pass to the newly entered Terell Williamson on the right wing finding the back of the net near post.
