Chowan University Welcomes Brown to Admissions Staff
Chowan University welcomes Mr. Lamont Brown to the Chowan Admissions Staff where he will be working as an Admissions counselor. The Suffolk, VA native graduated from Morgan State University with a degree in Public Relations and as a successful student-athlete. In his spare time, Brown maintains his love for athletics by coaching football at Hertford County High School. He also enjoys spending time with his family and participating in community service projects with his college fraternity, Omega Psi Phi.
Brown’s love for family and togetherness extends into his work life. In his interview, Brown commented that Chowan’s scenic location, family atmosphere, and the opportunities for growth and development played a central role in securing his desire for employment in the University’s Admissions Department. Furthermore, upon meeting Dr. Daniel Wilson, Vice President for Enrollment Management, and the entire admissions staff, Brown confided that the warm and sincere welcome he received during the interview process reassured him that Chowan is an institution untied to help its members foster personal and professional growth. Brown excitedly anticipates his position as an Admissions counselor, looking forward to “helping students fulfill their dreams of higher education” and give his contribution to “building up the next generation of college graduates and leaders.”
