9/14 12:00pm update: Chowan University will reopen on Monday, September 17th. Classes will begin at 8:00 a.m. Offices will open at 8:30 a.m.
Residential students may return to campus beginning Sunday, September 16. STUDENTS WILL NOT HAVE ACCESS TO RESIDENTIAL HALLS UNTIL SUNDAY.
Dr. Robert Canoy will headline the Chowan University Taylor Religious Heritage Lecture on Monday, September 24, and Wednesday, September 26, at 11:00 AM in Turner Auditorium on the Chowan University campus.
In conjunction with the 2018-2019 academic year, Chowan University has added five new faculty members to the team: Dr. Shirley Alt, Cindy M. Britton, Theresa diLustro, Dr. Amin Rudaina Khalil, and Dr. Sarah Reed.
Chowan University Campus Ministry, led by Reverend Mari Wiles, Minister to the University, and Reverend Drew Phillips, Associate Minister, is extremely active in the community and abroad. Introducing students to missions locally and globally is a priority of Chowan Campus Ministry.
As part of our commitment to educating the total person- mind, body, and spirit, Chowan University hosts an involvement fair the beginning of each fall semester. Clubs and organizations showcased the many ways students can become involved on campus on August 29, 2018.
Seven Chowan University members of the North Carolina Phi Chapter of the Alpha Chi National College Honor Society, led by sponsor, Syble Shellito, presented academic research at "Our Green Planet": The 2018 Alpha Chi National Convention in Portland, Oregon.
