Jim Messer Reception & Artist Talk

Ceramicist and Mooresville, North Carolina native Jim Messer primarily produces functional works, featured in this solo exhibition. A prolific potter, Messer produces five to seven hundred original works in clay per year, many of which are created from his locally sourced Hertford County cly. He presently serves as the coordinator of and an instructor in the art department at Roanoke-Chowan Community College in Ahoskie, NC. Messer holds a BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University and an MFA from Florida State University.
