Keep in Mind

Experts agree the campus visit is one of the most important factors in determining what college is the best fit for you. We want you to see what Chowan is really like, and want you to meet current students and faculty while on your visit. When planning your visit keep in mind the following dates may not be the best time to get the full Chowan experience:

Late August/Early September - Check-in
Mid-October - Fall Break
Early March  - Spring Break
Early May - Commencement

The University will be closed for all major holidays and holiday weekends. The Office of Admissions is open on select days during the University Christmas Holiday - contact us for open dates and times. The University is closed the first Monday of spring break (in March) as noted on the Academic Calendar at chowan.edu/academics.

You must register 24 hours in advance for a tour. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late for a tour, we may not be able to accommodate your tour and ask that you call or email to reschedule. We do not accept individual visits on open house dates (CU Visit Day, Chowan Scholarship Day, SOAR and Check-in weekend).
