Did you know your books are now included?

Chowan University is committed to student academic success and access to required texts books is a critical first step.

Beginning Fall 2018, Chowan is proud to announce the Hawk Flight Book Program which will enable access to required textbooks and computer codes students must have each semester in pursuit of their academic goals.  Hawk Flight Book Program is designed at a low per semester cost which should save students as much as 50% on average over traditional textbook purchase programs.  Hawk Flight is:

Convenient – Books are available before classes start each semester (Express Check-In)
Effective – Eliminates long lines in the bookstore to get your books
Efficient – No need for bookstore vouchers
Affordable – Saves students MONEY!!

For your convenience, students are automatically enrolled in the Hawk Flight program.  Full-Time students are charged a one-time per semester program fee of $275 which covers virtually all your required textbooks and computers codes – a savings of approximately 50%.  In some health-related majors, this price is less than the cost of a single new textbook.  Due to the reduction of course load, Part-Time students receive a reduced rate of $135 per semester.  Students will have the ability to opt-out of the program via a future MyCU option which will be communicated via a direct mail/email notification.  Opting-Out of the Hawk Flight Book Program DOES NOT RELIEVE YOUR OBLIGATION TO HAVE REQUIRED TEXTBOOKS/COMPUTER CODES FOR EACH COURSE REGISTERED.
