Dr. Tom Collins Professor of Sport Management; Chair, Department of Sport Science 252-398-6581

Students often choose a Sport Science major because of their interest in sport and their desire to work in the sport industry.  From the outset, we seek to build on this interest by encouraging them to adopt a career perspective – to focus on acquiring the knowledge and skills required to succeed in the highly competitive and rapidly changing sport industry.  We strive to foster a supportive learning environment, encourage active involvement in experiential learning activities, and promote professional development that enables students to achieve their career goals.
