Students who excel in their Biology studies will be invited to join Beta Beta Beta, the National Biological Honor Society. Beta Beta Beta Biological Society seeks to encourage scholarly achievement and cultivate intellectual interest in the natural sciences. TriBeta offers members many opportunities to enrich their intellectual lives. In addition to activities with the local chapter, district and national conventions offer members a chance to share their interests with students and faculty from universities throughout the nation.
Regular membership in TriBeta is reserved for undergraduate students who demonstrate superior academic achievement in the biological sciences. Chowan University students are eligible for membership in Beta Beta Beta if they are an undergraduate majoring in Biology, and they have completed at least three courses in Biology with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 in the Biology courses taken. The Phi Upsilon Chapter of Beta Beta Beta was installed at Chowan University in April 2007.
