Chowan Honors 24 Student-Athletes on Conference Carolinas Fall Academic All-Conference Teams

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Conference Carolinas announced the fall Academic All-Conference teams presented by Barnes & Noble College on Monday. The fall Academic All-Conference teams consist of student-athletes in men’s and women’s cross country, men’s and women’s soccer and women’s volleyball.

Chowan posted 24 student-athletes to the 2024-25 Conference Carolinas Fall Academic All-Conference Team.

CU Women’s Soccer featured seven student-athletes with Natasha Bailey, Madeline Bell, Valeria Filgueira-Martinez, Regan Jackson, Gracie Ross, Rayn Ross, and Tessa Whitley. Men’s Soccer saw representation by Bradley Binns, Zach Boyd, Charley Leech, Jamie Moore, Hassan Mutaasa, and Finley Scott. Nia Baskin, Jadyn Brown, Sydney Ginaitt, Kayleigh Lance, Lyniah Lee, Diana Rodriguez, and Alexa Wasil represented the Volleyball team. Cross Country posted Elizabeth Heller, Sarai Sanders, and Abbie Sutton for the women’s team and Kani Ellis for the men’s team.The Conference Carolinas Academic All-Conference teams consist of junior and senior student-athletes in the conference who have competed in a conference-sponsored sport and maintained a cumulative grade-point average of 3.25 or higher on a 4.0 scale in all work completed at their member institution.

The GPA is calculated based on the cumulative averages of the student-athletes through the previous semester and each student-athlete must have attended their member institution for at least one academic year.
