
Junior Smith Earns D2CCA All-America Honors After Stellar Season for CU Men’s Soccer
Junior Smith of CU men’s soccer has been named a 2024 Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) Men’s Soccer All-America Third Team honoree.
Smith was a game-changer for the Hawks this season, helping to lead them to a 9-5-3 record and a second straight trip to the Conference Carolinas Championship game, where they battled hard but narrowly fell 1-0 to Francis Marion. The 2024 season earned him multiple accolades, including Conference Carolinas Player of the Week, Conference Carolinas Offensive Player of the Year, Conference Carolinas First Team All-Conference, and First Team 2024 D2CCA Southeast All-Region honors.
Smith led the Conference Carolinas in scoring with 14 goals, 3 assists, and 31 points. He was a constant threat, firing off 30 shots with 18 on target, and clutching up with three game-winning goals.
