Chowan Ranked First in Conference Carolinas Men’s Soccer Preseason Poll
Murfreesboro, N.C. – 2023 tournament champion Chowan University has been picked to claim their second Conference Carolinas regular season title in the 2024 Men’s Soccer Preseason Coaches’ Poll.
The conference office officially unveiled the preseason poll on August 26. The preseason poll was voted on by the league’s head coaches.
“We’reexcited to be picked first in the Preseason Poll, which I think is a testament to our body of work last season,” stated Chris Whalley, Head Men’s Soccer Coach at CU. “We won’t be naive though, and understand to achieve our goals for this year we will have to work extremely hard.”
Chowan finished second in the East Division a season ago going 3-1-2 in divisional play and earned the second seed in the conference tournament going 7-2-2 in conference contests and 8-4-6 overall.
