Hawks Women’s Basketball Enters D2SIDA Poll

MURFREESBORO, N.C. – For the first time this season, the Chowan Women's Basketball team is ranked in the D2SIDA Atlantic Regional Polls that was released on Monday morning.
Chowan enters the rankings for the first time in the D2SIDA poll and first time being ranked since February 2016.
The Hawks enter the polls ranked 10th in the region after improving to 6-1 this season. Chowan started the week with a close loss to Catawba before dominating St. Augustine's and Fayetteville State in the FSU Broncos Thanksgiving Classic.
Chowan is one of five CIAA schools ranked in the region. Virginia Union leads the pack at #4, with Virginia State (7), Johnson C. Smith (8), and Bowie State at ninth.
CU hosts Francis Marion on Tuesday, November 28.
