GAFFNEY, S.C. – In the first year competing in the Conference Carolinas, the Chowan Women's Soccer team finished second overall in the standings and advanced to the Conference Carolinas Tournament Semifinals.

Chowan notched six members on the Conference Carolinas All-Conference team including Player of the Year and Freshman of the Year.

Carolina Lucci brought home the most hardware after being named Conference Carolinas Player of the Year, Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Year and earned Conference Carolinas First-Team honors.

Lucci, a freshman from Monaca, Pa., becomes the first player in Chowan history to be named Conference Carolinas Player of the Year and Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Year. Lucci's dominance on the pitch led her to a Division II program record 19 goals, which is fourth best among Division II and the top freshman scorer in Division II. In addition to goals, Lucci also led Conference Carolinas in points (42) and game-winning goals (10) while also posting four assists, which ranked 11th in the league.

Junior goalkeeper, Olivia Borer, earned Conference Carolinas Second Team All-Conference selection.  Borer, Malabar, Fla. native, led the Conference Carolinas in save percentage (.877), shutouts (10.5), goals allowed (9), goals allowed per match (0.55), and was second in wins (12).

Sabrina Henderson, Mackenzie Imamura, Shannon Park, and Asia Fort rounded out the list for the Hawks with Third Team All-Conference Selections.
