Student Life: Overview

Student life at Chowan University is all about you.

It's about what you do with your friends and your roommates.

It's about learning to be a leader along with your fellow students.

It's about participating in events on campus.

It's about giving back to the community any way you can.

Essentially, student life is all about getting involved and having fun when you aren't studying.

On campus, students will find more to do than just going to class.

Chowan students get to know each other through involvement in campus events, activities, worship, and leadership.

Learning at Chowan doesn't stop when the student leaves the classroom. They take what they learn and apply it to everyday life.

Students at Chowan can do many things off campus too.

For example, students can go bowling in Franklin, watch a minor league baseball game in Norfolk, see a movie in Ahoskie, shop at the numerous stores in Greenville, and enjoy the Watermelon Festival in Murfreesboro.

Students also enjoy the fact that Chowan is not far from Virginia Beach and the Outer Banks.

With so many things to do, Chowan students are never bored.
