Hawks Blow by Allen

MURFREESBORO -  The women's basketball team handled Allen University with no problems as they handed them a 71-46 loss. Chowan improves to 10-12 on the year after tonight's win. 

Chowan scored 40 first half points to take a 40-21 lead into half time. They shot 63% (17-27) in the first half to help swing momentum in their direction. They went on to score 31 second half points and out rebound Allen 35 to 25 in the game. 

The Hawks had three players in double figures led by Ashley Banks and AJ O'Bannion who both scored 11 points. Banks dished out 4 assists while O'Bannion had 2 blocks and 5 rebounds. Alicia McMorris was 2-3 from beyond the three point arch and scored 10 total points in the game while also getting 3 steals and 3 assists. 

Chowan will travel to Claflin University this Saturday in their next match up. They will return to the Helms Center for their final home game of the season on Wednesday, Feb. 14th at 7:00pm.
