Women's Basketball Drops Opening Game at All Star Independent Classic

SPARTANBURG, SC - The women's basketball team dropped their third game in a row after losing 87-74 to North Greenville University in the opening round of the All Star Independent Classic at Converse College. 

Despite four players scoring in double figures the Hawks couldn't keep up with the scoring of the Crusaders. Lauryn Perry continued her hot streak after pacing her team with 20 points and 3 assists. Alicia McMorris, Rachel Wood, and AJ O'Bannion each chipped in 12 points in the loss.

Chowan falls to 13-15 on the year and will wrap up their season against Brevard College tomorrow afternoon. Tip off is slated for 4:00pm.
