Women's Basketball to Play North Greenville at All Star Independent Classic

SPARTANBURG, SC - The women's basketball team will wrap up their 2007 campaign this weekend as they travel to the All Star Independent Classic hosted by Converse College (SC). The Hawks are scheduled to play in two games in the tournament which features six NCAA DII Independent colleges and universities. 

Chowan will face off against North Greenville College this afternoon at 3:00pm. On Saturday they will play Brevard College at 5:00pm. 

Chowan enters the tournament at 13-14 overall after going 1-1 at the NCCAA South Region Tournament. They entered the tournament as the #4 seed and beat #5 seeded Tennessee Temple to advance to the semi-finals. They lost 78-66 to #1 Southern Wesleyan University to end their run at the tournament.
