Women's Tennis Drops Season Opener to Christopher Newport

MURFREESBORO - The women's tennis team dropped their season opener to Christopher Newport University 9-0 this afternoon. The Hawks lost all six seeded singles matches along with all three doubles matches. 

Krystan Fleming played #1 singles for Chowan and fell in straight sets 6-0 and 6-1. Fleming paired up with Christina Eteuati in the #1 doubles match but fell with a final score of 8-1. 

The Hawks, now 0-1, will travel to Shaw University on Wednesday for a 2:00pm match. They will return home on March 10th when they host Guilford College at 2:00pm.
