Keep it Perfect

MURFREESBORO
- The baseball team moved to 6-0 on the year after
beating Fairmont Sate University 10-1. The Hawks
completed the three game sweep of the Falcons with
today's win.
After a
scoreless first inning the Hawks took a 4-0 lead after a
four run second inning. They added a run in the bottom
of the 5th inning and followed that inning up with two
runs in the 6th inning. Steven Humprey and the Hawks
defense held the Falcons scoreless until the 5th inning.
Humprey pitched for the win after throwing 5 innings,
scattering 9 innings and giving up one run. Steve Brown
and Billy Coburn pitched 2 innings each in relief of
Humprey to close the game out.
Justin
Hollingsworth was 3-5 with 3 RBI in the game while
Brandon Hamlett was perfect at the plate at 3-3. Joey
Ryder was the only other Hawk to gain multiple hits as
he finished up 2-4 at the plate.
The Hawks
now sit at 6-0 and will travel to St. Andrews on Tuesday
in their next match up.
