South Region Tournament Bracket Announced

PALM BEACH, FL – The NCCAA South Region Women’s Soccer
Chair announced today the South Region Tournament
Bracket. The bracket was arranged using the Longo Rating
System, different from the ranking system used during
the regular season. The Longo System factors specific
conditions into the equation like match location,
opponents’ win/loss percentages, and divisional (NCAA I,
II, III and/or NAIA) play.
Chowan received the #4 seed in the tournament based on
the Longo Rating System. They will play the #1 seed
Faulkner University (AL). Faulkner made a push at the
end of the season winning four out of their final five
matches to overtake the #1 spot. They will play next
Thursday, November 9th at 10:30am.
#2 Palm Beach Atlantic (9-11) will play against host
team and #3 seed Southern Wesleyan (7-9) at 1:00pm on
Thursday, November 9th.
The championship match will be played Friday, November
10th at 9:30am. Log on to the Chowan Athletics website
