Hawks Drop Fourth Straight

COLUMBIA, KY - The women's basketball team dropped their fourth straight game after losing to Lindsey Wilson College 68-51 this afternoon. Today's loss moves the Hawks to 6-8 overall. 

Chowan took a narrow four point lead into the half but weren't able to hold off LWC's offense in the second period. The Blue Raiders took control of the game at the 12:54 mark after hitting a bucket to take a 43-42 lead. They went on to hold Chowan to just four points over the final ten minutes of play to take the win. 

Lindsey Wilson picks up their 6th win of the season after beating the visiting Hawks. Joi Hazel paced Chowan with 18 points while Alicia McMorris had 8 points and 4 assists in the game. Chowan will return home tomorrow from Kentucky and travel to Newport News to play the Apprentice School on Friday at 6:00pm.
