Hawks
Fall at East Carolina

GREENVILLE,
NC - In a much anticipated game with East Carolina the
Hawks fell 68-50 but played tough with the NCAA DI
school. Chowan falls to 5-9 after the loss while the
Pirates improve to 5-8 overall.
The Hawks
trailed ECU by just 9 points at the half but with five
minutes into the second period cut the Pirate lead to
six points when Jaleel Nelson hit two shots from the
foul line. East Carolina held Chowan to 33% from the
field in the second period and went up by as many as 21
points in the final ten minutes of play.
Three Hawks
scored in double figures led by Nelson who scored 12
points. The freshman hit 3 of 7 from beyond the three
point arch and had 2 steals in 29 minutes of play.
Trayvon Lathan and Lando Morrison each chipped in 11
points in the loss.
The Hawks
will take off until Saturday when Allen University comes
to town for a 2:00pm game. The Hawks fall to 5-9 after
today's loss.
