Handle Patriots at Home

- Chowan won their second consecutive game after beating
Francis Marion University 66-47. Tonight's win moves the
Hawks to 7-9 overall. On the heels of a 26-point
performance in the Hawks win over Allen on Saturday,
Montino Williams poured in a game-high 17 points to help
lift his team over the Patriots.
Chowan took
the lead at the 17:37 mark of the first period 7-5 and
never looked back. They got up by as many as 19 points
before taking a 36-23 lead into halftime. Chowan
went on to out score the Patriots 30-24 in the second
period to take the final win 66-47.
The Hawks
shot 44% from the floor in the game after hitting 23 of
52 from the floor, including 8 three pointers. Williams
netted 5 of those 8 total trey's in the game. Chowan won
the battle of the boards with 42 rebounds over FMU's 31
total rebounds. Trayvon Lathan scored 14 points and now
needs just 19 total points to become the program's
all-time leading scorer. Freshman Lando Morrison scored
10 points and grabbed 6 rebounds and was 5-6 from the
floor in the game.
Chowan will
host Maryland Bible College on Friday at 7:30pm. Listen
