Friends of Whitaker Library Student Staff Award
A junior or senior library student staff member is selected to receive the Friends of the Library Student Award.
Nominations will be made to the Director of Library Services based on the following:
- Student staff member is an active user of Chowan University Library
- Student staff member has worked for the library at least three semesters
- Student staff member actively supports library programming and workshops
- Selection will be made by a committee consisting of the staff of Whitaker Library and the Library Committee.
The FOL Student Award will consist of a $300 total prize. $200 shall be used to purchase materials for his/her academic area for the Whitaker Library Collection and the remaining $100 may be used to purchase materials for his/her personal library.
Announcement of the Friends of Whitaker Library Student Award shall be made at the annual Chowan University Edible Book Festival.
