The Chowan Career Center, currently located on the top floor of Penny Hall and also known as the Center for Student Leadership, is open to all Chowan students and alumni to help guide and assist them in the process of career planning.
As freshmen arrive on campus, they should go ahead and begin the process of career searching, and students should continue this practice throughout their college years in order to ensure that they have the best advantage in the job market. The Chowan Career Center aids students in establishing a career plan by the use of SIGI, System of Interactive Guidance and Information, and by using this information to create professional resumes for valuable internships and jobs. Students are encouraged to discuss self-assessment, summer job searches, internship opportunities, or plans for graduate or professional schools.
Call Michele Reedy at (252) 398-6454 to schedule an appointment, and walk-ins are always welcomed.
