Her research has been published in the Journal of Banking and Finance, the Journal of Real Estate Practice and Education, the American Banker, and Progressive Measures. Dr. Miles has presented in many professional venues on finance, financial institutions, assessment and pedagogy, as well as presentations at Chowan University functions. Awards at prior institutions include the Beta Gamma Sigma Professor of the Year, the Outstanding Teaching Award, honors fellowships, honors scholarships, and summa cum laude ECU graduate.
