Visual Art
The Department of Visual Art's portfolio review-based program ensures professional growth and development throughout your studies here at Chowan University.
This ongoing assessment process requires students to submit a personal portfolio of their works:
- When students first enter the art school program,
- In order to advance to the next level of art courses each academic year,
- For senior level evaluation prior to graduation.
Through this evaluating portfolio-progressive program, Visual Art students develop their strengths, improve weaknesses, and work towards creating a strong, cohesive body of work.
Students are provided information on the due dates and expectations for portfolios when they enter the Department of Visual Art.
