Education:
Thomas Whitaker received a B.S. degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Garner-Webb University. He received a M.S. degree in Applied Mathematics from Western Carolina University, and then Prof. Whitaker gained his Ph.D. in Mathematical Sciences from Clemson University. He came to work at Chowan University in 2002.

Education:
James Truesdell received a B.A. degree in Mathematics and an Educational Masters degree in Mathematics Education from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He came to work with Chowan in 2005.

Maxwell S. Drew Assistant Professor of Mathematics |

Education:
Maxwell Drew received his B.S. of Education in Mathematics and his M.A. of Teaching in Mathematics from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. Drew received his Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering/Computing Science degree from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. He did his dissertation on Distributed Databases. Maxwell Drew came to work at Chowan University in 2006.

Garth D. Faile Professor of Chemistry |

Education:
Garth Faile received a B.S. in Chemistry with a minor in Biology from the University of Alabama. He received a Masters of Arts in Teaching for Science from Alabama College. Faile earned a M.S. degree in Physical Chemistry with a minor in Organic Chemistry and a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry with a minor in Inorganic Chemistry from Auburn University. He came to work at Chowan University in 1971.

George L. Hazelton Associate Professor of Physics |

Education:
Professor Hazelton graduated from East Carolina University with an undergraduate degree in physics. He then earned his Masters degree in Physics from Wake Forest University. He came to work at Chowan University in 1966.
