Mathematics and Physical Science

The Mathematics and Physical Science Department at Chowan University is housed in Camp Hall which boasts, among other things, the four chemistry laboratories which help those seeking a minor in chemistry.

Chemistry students will:

• explore the scientific method
• develop a strong appreciation for research
• clarify the fundamentals of understanding in their field
• grow competent in the techniques and equipment in a laboratory

CU’s Department of Mathematics and Physical Science covers chemistry classes from the basic methods of introductory laboratory studies to the chemical analysis of organic chemistry and biochemical systems.
