The Biology Department's specialized curriculum allows students to gain valuable professional expertise and provides a unique educational framework that integrates classroom study and field experience through career-enhancing internships and research projects.

Students have recently completely internships in:

• medical fields
• harmaceutical facilities
• dntal offices
• veterinary settings
• private industries in the Research Triangle
• environmental consulting firms in the Tidewater area
• zoos in Philadelphia
• National Wildlife Refuges across the region!

Our students have also recently completed research projects involving zooplankton ecology, water chemistry, forest carbon inventory, predator-prey relationships and DNA fingerprinting.
