Academics: School of Arts & Sciences
Biology

Students who excel in their Biology studies will have the chance to join Beta Beta Beta, the National Biological Honor Society. The honor society acts as a fellowship of students and faculty devoted to the study of the biological sciences.

In their free time, many biology students join the Science Club.

Within the last year, members have:

• visited the North Carolina Aquarium on Roanoke Island
• traveled to the Outer Banks
• built their own homecoming parade float
• organized a Blood Drive with the American Red Cross
• held a successful fundraiser for a ski trip to Wintergreen Mountain
  in Virginia

The Science Club also has participated in several community outreach programs such as the Relay for Life and NC Big Sweep to clean the litter from our area watersheds.
