Staying fit and having fun. At Chowan University, 40 percent of students play intercollegiate sports and many others participate in intramurals.

Be a Leader. Students learn to be leaders when they get involved in events and clubs at Chowan.
Internships. The Business Internship Program gives interested students experience in careers of their choice.
After his junior year, Will Andrews interned at the Pentagon in Washington, DC and redesigned its website.
Traditions. Chowan is proud of its many traditions, such as the graduation ceremony. Graduates walk down the Alumni Walk, through the Kerr Gazebo, and ring the university bell.
Legends. The Brown Lady is well-known on the Chowan campus. It is said that she returned from the dead to test the loyalty of the students.
Fun down the Road. Chowan students find many things to do in the surrounding communities.
