Chowan Bowlers Take Home Highest GPA Award
DURHAM, NC The Chowan Women's Bowling Team amassed a GPA of 3.36 to bring home the highest team GPA Award at the 2011 CIAA Bowling Championships. This marks the first time the CU Bowling team has won the award, and only the second time a Chowan athletic team has won.
One of the things that impresses me is how they work in all of the practices and competitions, and still maintain great grades, Head Coach Tom Whiteman said. I don't know how they juggle their practice and competition time with school work.
The Hawks finished 11th out of 13 teams at the Championships.
