Education:
Thomas Whitaker received a B.S. degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Garner-Webb University. He received a M.S. degree in Applied Mathematics from Western Carolina University, and then Prof. Whitaker gained his Ph.D. in Mathematical Sciences from Clemson University. He came to work at Chowan University in 2002.

James P. Truesdell James P. Truesdell
Instructor of Mathematics

Education:
James Truesdell received a B.A. degree in Mathematics and an Educational Masters degree in Mathematics Education from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He came to work with Chowan in 2005.

  • ICTP Diploma in Mathematics, International Center for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), Italy.
  • M.S. in Mathematics (in 2005) and Ph.D. in Mathematics (in 2010), Kansas State University, USA.
